New Chapter

Janet Bullen suffered from Alzheimer's at the end of her life. She no longer seemed to recognise her family, and couldn't walk or even open her eyes. The end was as peaceful as we could possibly have asked for. She slipped away softly and slowly in her sleep, with her husband and daughter-in-law holding one hand, and her son and daughter holding the other. I said goodbye to her earlier that night by asking my mother to hold the phone to granny's ear so she could hear me.
